Reflection T2 W9

This week in Tangaroa, we have done not a lot of things. I made a badge at tech instead of making a cushion, because I’ve already finished it and all my work I needed to do.

I also have been working on scratch games, and I’ve gotten really good at coding.

It was Hugo’s birthday on Thursday, since Pip made cupcakes for tech, in class, we sung happy birthday and gave him the cupcake (With a decapitated duck on a pencil for the candle) And I also bit a onion like an apple as well.

Monday Tuesday and Wednesday was all the same. Friday we had assembly, a scary green worm eel thing popped up on the screen and it was terrifying, it had a long rectangular nose, two tiny realistic human eyes and a giant smile with sharp teeth. It did not help that the music in the background was unnerving and uncanny.

My math test of Friday

For maths on Friday, we did a test, and I got a really bad score of 57, mainly because I didn’t do my best, and I didn’t really try that hard. One of the things I would need to improve is definitely my 9 times tables. My strategy is to just skip through the hard ones and do the easy ones first. Then I do the hard ones last, so I will get a better score. The ones that tricked me were definitely the 7 and 8 times tables. Tens and Five times tables are easy, four’s are also easy and so are threes. I mostly struggle with the 8’s 7’s and 9’s.

What Drinks Our Group Perfers?

Today in math, we made a column graph about what drinks our math group prefers. Our variable was gender. If you cant read it down below, 1st is fizzy, 2nd is water, and 3rd is juice. From my graph, I notice that only 2 boys like fizzy, while 7 boys and girls like juice. The features of my Graph are the lists of drinks, and the Title.

Week 6 in Tangaroa

This week has been pretty normal. On Friday we had a no uniform day. We got to wear anything we wanted. Me, Spencer, Hugo and Jeremiah made a drawing group for choice and challenge. But Nobody came, so me and Spencer left to help other groups, and then it was break. When nobody came, I didn’t really mind that. I was fine with helping other groups.

I got a book out from the library and read some of it. In tech I have almost finished my box. My wooden box has 4 walls but nothing else so far. We had to use screwdrivers, screws, clamps. And a bunch more tools. Sanding was the most boring part.

We also have learnt some line dancing this week as well. Learning dance is simple, but remembering the dance is hard. It ended with lots of people kicking each other.

Beach Saftey

  1. Children are playing in between the flags.
  2. Children are making friends
  3. The people in the beach are wearing swimsuits
  4. Most people have protection from the sun
  5. No violence (Besides the child drowning)

Week Reflection

The only interesting thing that has happened was walk and wheels. We could walk to school, or we could use a car! If you walk you might get a prize. I did not swimming, instead I had dance and dry swimming. We had a a spelling test. I did tech, and  cut some wood. We are planning to make a wooden box, my wooden box is going to be very large. That’s all we did this week.

Good Friends Writing

Having a friend is very important. If you don’t have a friend it can get very lonely. Friends can either be online, at school, or somebody around the block. Friends can be found anywhere, and look like anyone.

A friend is a person who gives you company. A friend is also a person who acknowledges your presence and respects you. Friends are kind and caring, though some relationships are complicated and mean in a funny way. Friends are a great way to cheer you up when you’re feeling down. Friends care about you and might help you at times.

Being in a friendship with somebody is having somebody that likes to be around you. They appreciate your kindness and in response, they give you kindness back. To keep having a friendship, you need to spend time with them. If you do something wrong you say sorry and be polite. To have a friend you need to be a friend.

Fitness Goal

On Monday, people who haven’t got their togs need to run the bike track. After, We needed to write goals for this year. My goals for fitness this year is to end up running  all of the bike track without stopping. Right now I’m currently walking and running halfway of the bike track because my ankle is sore when I ran.
